Gandhinagar : Vice Chairman of NITI Ayog met chief minister Vijay Rupani at Gandhinagar. During his visit to Gujarat, Rajiv Kumar – Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog – held an important meeting in Gandhinagar on Tuesday morning with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and Senior Secretaries. In this meeting, CM gave the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog details of the achievements of development works including state government’s Flagship Program, Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Metro Rail Project, Statue of Unity, Water Supply, Digital SevaSetu as well as intensive healthcare work done in the state during Covid-19 epidemic in order to control its spread. CM thanked the Vice Chairman for the guidance and support from NITI Aayog for making the states ‘Aatma Nirbhar’ in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister of India. He further said that Gujarat will fully cooperate with the Central Government as a model state of development in order to achieve the goal of country’s all-round development. Welcoming the suggestions made by the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog in the meeting, CM assured that the state government would be in consultation with the Aayog for their implementation. Rajiv Kumar expressed satisfaction over the effective implementation of Gujarat Government’s schemes related to agriculture, energy, rural development, water management and irrigation. He said that Gujarat, considering the incredible feat it has achieved in FDI, should now be compared with regions of developed countries of the world.ma Nirbhar

The Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog expressed keen interest in learning about ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana’ – an innovative initiative of Gujarat. He also suggested that under this yojana, rural women can be trained in the garment industry to motivate them for export-oriented production. Rajiv Kumar also said in the meeting that the departments of the state government would be in follow-up and coordination with NITI Aayog for comprehensive and smooth implementation of the central-state flagship programs. Rajiv Kumar gathered information about digital governance operations and real-time monitoring of the performance of all departments of the state government through CM Dashboard, the state government’s plan to make Dholera SIR a bigger smart city than Singapore and the activities of International Finance Tech City-Gift City and expressed his satisfaction about the works.
