Ahmedabad : According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon will now move slightly south due to lower air pressure in the Bay of Bengal. The meteorological department has forecast a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal on August 4. This is likely to cause heavy rains in some states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. In Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, heavy rains are likely to continue for the next 2-3 days. Gujarat is forecast to receive heavy rains along with strong winds on August 5-6. The meteorological department said heavy rains with thunderstorms and thunderstorms are expected in East Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal in the next 48 hours. The meteorological department said heavy rains have been warned in other parts of the state, including Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Heavy rains are expected in Mumbai and some districts of the state from August 3 to 5. The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhdurg, Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Beed, Latur and Osmanabad districts from August 3 to 5 except Mumbai.
