Gandhinagar : Atmanirbhar gram yatra will be organized in Gujarat. Rural Development Minister Arjun Singh Chauhan as well as Minister of State Brijesh Merja have said that “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” is being celebrated across the country as part of the celebrations of the 75th year of independence. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, with the intention of realizing the concept of a Atmanirbhar village of the Prime Minister as well as providing immediate benefits to the people of Gujarat. A three-day “Atmanirbhar Gram Yatra” has been organized across the state from November 18 to November 20. The Minister added that the state-wide launch of “Atmanirbhar Gramyatra” by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel from Mahemdavad in Kheda district on 18th November. The departure of about 100 self-reliant village yatra raths in this yatra will be done on the same day in 33 districts of the state in the presence of dignitaries including various members of the cabinet. All these Rath will circulate over 1,090 seats of District Panchayat during three days from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Closing ceremony of this yatra will be held on 20th November at taluka level. The ministers added that this self-reliant village yatra rath will travel around the village level on 993 routes during three days and provide guidance to the villagers on various planning matters in about 10,605 villages. In which dedication of various development works, distribution of cheque assistance of planned benefits, various camps, demonstration camps, competitions will be organized. Through this Rath, the schemes of various departments of the Government will be disseminated through films, quickies, pamphlets, etc.

Giving more details, the Minister added that during this three-day yatra, a cleanliness rally will be held from 8 am to 8 pm, as well as cleaning campaign in schools, panchayat house, anganwadi, post office, bank, milk societies, veterinary clinics and primary health centers. Under Swachh Bharat Mission-Rural ODF Plus, Community Toilet, and Understanding of Individual Toilet and Film Exhibition, Revolving Fund (RF) under National Rural Livelihood Mission and Distribution of Community Investment Fund (CIF), as well as National Film demonstrations and planning pamphlets on the activities of the Rural Livelihood Mission will be distributed. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural Understanding and Film Demonstration, Understanding of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme as well as Understanding on Public Health, Corona Vaccination, Infectious, Waterborne Diseases and Film Demonstration. In addition to this, understanding of animal husbandry, animal vaccination and artificial insemination through scientific method in the fixed route of 100 chariots in the morning and evening, distribution of jumbo plastic cats to fishermen in coastal districts. He added that kits would include bicycles, nets, insulated boxes and weighing scales. He said that under various schemes of co-operation and animal husbandry, land-worship-dedication of godowns, registration of different co-operative societies as well as distribution of Kisan Credit Card-KCC to pastoralists-fishermen would be done.
