Pavagadh : Cultural and Spiritual heritage is brought back to life said, prime minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that, “Today, after centuries, the flag is once again unfurled on the top of the Pavagadh temple. The unfurling of the flag is not only a symbol of our faith and spirituality but this flag is also a symbol of the fact that centuries, eras change, but the faith remains eternal.” The same way when many years back Swami Vivekanand devoted himself to public service, Mahakali Mata has blessed me to serve the people of the country with energy-sacrifice-dedication. Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the flag on the newly constructed golden peak of the Kalika Mata temple at ShaktipeethPavagadh of Gujarat in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the saints gathered at this juncture and said that today after many years I feel fortunate enough to spend few moments at the feet of Pavagadh Mahakali and receive Her blessings. My life has become blissful with the desire to visit holy place and the wish has been fulfilled. The moment gives special joy to my divination. Five centuries later, the flag has been hoisted on the peak of Mahakali. This moment inspires us and gives us energy to live with a devotion to the great tradition and culture. After few days follows the ‘Gupt Navratri’. Before the Gupta Navratri, the temple of Mahakali in Pavagadh is in glorious and divine form in front of us. This is the specialty of power and devotion. Though it is named Gupt Navratri but the the power does not fade or disappear. When Shraddha, Sadhana and Tapasya gets united it manifests energy into richness. We are witnessing the manifestation of this same power in Pavagadh with the blessings of Maa Kali. Centuries later this temple of Mahakali has been transformed into a monumental form for which we feel proud.

Prime Minister further said that today after centuries the flag is once again hoisted on the top of the Pavagadh temple. Referring to Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi or Kedarnath, the Prime Minister said that today the spiritual and cultural glory has been  restored and every Indian is proud of the fact. These spiritual levels are becoming a source of new possibilities. Reconstruction of Pavagadh temple a part of the Gaurav Yatra. Prime Minister said that the temple also symbolizes ‘Sauno Saath Sauno Vikas and Sauno Prayas’. I had the opportunity to climb and worship at the Mahakali temple. Prime Minister prayed that to get blessed and continue to serve the people of the country. He shall continue to dedicate welfare of the mothers and sisters of the country with strength and virtues. The Prime Minister said that When India became independent after centuries of struggle, it had the spirit of slavery and suppression instilled in it. We fought for the challenges that came with our existence. Cultural freedom also started from Somnath by Sardar Patel. The flag that is fluttering today is the flag of cultural pride of the country. The people of Panchmahal have preserved this temple for centuries.Their dream has come true today. There was a tradition to place the wedding invites near the feet of the Goddess. The invite was read in-front of the Goddess after when greetings were sent to the sender. This tradition has continued since years. This resurgence is the greatest gift for the devotees. It would not have been possible without the mother’s blessing. On this occasion, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi tourism activities have gained momentum in Gujarat. The state government is making efforts to facilitate both the prayers of the pilgrims and the tourism sector. On this occasion, a silver Shri Kali Yantra was presented to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the Board of Trustees and also handed over a cheque of Rs. 60 lakh to the state government for the forest project at Pavagadh.
