Jeet Deepak Dholakia, Ahmedabad : The first list of BJP for loksabha election has been announced and this time again PM Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh but the seasoned leader of BJP L.K.Advani will not be in a picture this time as the party president Amit Shah has got the ticket from Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Gandhinagar has a history that BJP has never lost this seat. This time L.K.Advani is not going to contest election so, BJP tried a new Gujarati name and that is Amit Shah.
According to sources, Amit Shah has got the ticket from Gandhinagar and if he wins the election, he may get some good portfolio in NDA Government. In 2014, L.K.Advani won the seat from very high margin and this time BJP wanted to play trump card and they gave ticket to Amit Shah.
Amit Shah had started his career as a Municipal Councillor and then his political career took a jump and he got home ministry in Gujarat Government. Then he had to face allegations, he was also sent to jail as court had ordered in fake encounter case. Everything was not in his favour and when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India, he got again big jump and became Party President.
Now BJP is thinking to give him an entry to Lok Sabha. This time it will be important to see that Gandhinagar’s history of victory will remain intact or Congress will get some benefit as new face has been announced.
