Gandhinagar : Govt. is striving for the welfare of peoples’ health said governor Acharya Devvrat. Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, conveying his best wishes to all the citizens of the state on the 72nd Republic Day of the nation, said that the Government of Gujarat is endlessly striving hard for the welfare and health of each and every Gujaratis. In his message Governor said that, even during the COVID-19 pandemic the pace of development remained uninterrupted, which is a matter of pride for all of us. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his motto “Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab Ka Prayas , Sab Ka Vishwas”, the state has always progressed in all fields. India made history by vaccinating more than 100 crore people during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Governor also appreciated the work done by Gujarat in vaccination drive. Governor  further  said that, On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of  independence, Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi came up with the unique idea of celebrating “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav ” and every Indian is proud to be a part of this celebration. He also mentioned a series of steps taken by the State Government for the purpose of promoting natural farming. I am glad that today more than two lakh farmers in Gujarat are engaged in natural farming. He also congratulated the state government for its remarkable work towards women empowerment in the state. On this occasion, Governor mentioned the special gram sabhas held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in the state. He said that through these gram sabhas, important work was done to create awareness about Jal Jeevan Mission, sanitation, Covid vaccination and Vatan Prem Yojana.

He also said that, Government has included more than 2 crore beneficiaries in Pradhan Mantri Jana Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana to provide quality health services free of cost to the citizens of Gujarat. He added that under the “Pradhan Mantri Matru vandana Yojana”, nutritious food and health services have been provided to more than 2 lakh pregnant ladies and childrens. Govrnor in his public message also mentioned the special work done by the Gujarat government in the field of health in the tribal areas. 17 laboratory tests were being conducted in 167 primary health centres in tribal areas, which is increased to 33. He also added that 250 mobile clinic vans are working in the public service to strengthen health services in remote areas of the state. Governor Acharya Devvrat also appealed the citizens to continue uninterrupted cooperation and always bring their hand forward to support the development of the state.
