Gandhinagar : Gujarat is the center point of pharma industry of the country. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has clearly expressed that Gujarat is the center point of pharmaceutical industries of the country. In this context, Bhupendra Patel said that Gujarat, which has 5% of the total land area of ​​the country, has become a leader in India’s pharmaceutical production by contributing 1/3 or 5%. The Chief Minister was addressing the inaugural function of the Holistic Healthcare: Fox on Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Summit organized as part of a pre-vibrant event at Pandit Deendayal Energy University in Gandhinagar. Government of India Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandvia, Gujarat Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel, Minister of State Nimisha Suthar and Union Secretary of Pharmaceutical Department S. Arpana, Drugs Controller General of India were present. The summit was attended by senior secretaries and leading pharma-medical devices entrepreneurs of the USFDA. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to entrepreneurs and investors from the pharmaceutical and medical devices sector to attend the Vibrant Summit. He said that this summit would be useful for the pharma industry to realize the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a self-reliant India. Bhupendra Patel added that the medicines and pharmaceutical sector manufactured in Gujarat have earned the full trust and confidence of the people. Not only that, Gujarat is also a leader in the production of medical devices. The state produces more than 90% of cardiac stents and 90% of orthopedic implants. Giving the role that this region of Gujarat has truly lived up to the standards of excellence, Bhupendra Patel added that the process of setting up a state-of-the-art bulk drug park near Bharuch in collaboration with the Central Government is in full swing.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandvia called upon the pharmaceutical manufacturers and said, “I am confident that you will do an unparalleled job of public service by producing cheap and quality medicines to all the citizens in a way that protects the borders of the country.” Congratulating the Gujarat Government on organizing the hollistic Health Care: Health on Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices-Pre Event Summit today, Minister Mandvia said that with the intention of establishing a role model for Gujarat, the then Chief Minister and the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi started sharing knowledge. This Pre-event Summit will prove to be important for the forthcoming tenth series of Summits.
