Gandhinagar : Holistic tourism and inclusive growth has come true said, CM Bhupendra Patel. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has clearly stated that the holistic and inclusive growth of the tourism sector in Gujarat has come true. In this context, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new path to the tourism of the state by linking the culture and traditions of Gujarat with tourism. As a result, with the holistic development of the sector, local employment opportunities have become abundant. The Chief Minister was addressing the 36th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Tour Operators IATO organized in Gandhinagar. Bhupendra Patel described this annual convention in Gujarat, which is famous for its numerous tourist destinations, as suitable. He added that Gujarat has immense tourism diversity. During his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the Prime Minister has shown the new concept of Festival Tourism to the country and the world from the land of Gujarat. The Chief Minister said that the theme of this annual conference of IATO is India-A Road to Recovery. The tourism industry, which was hit hard by the Corona pandemic, is now recovering rapidly.

Bhupendra Patel provided information of tourism diversification in Gujarat in desert tourism such as Ranotsav, Spiritual and Religious Tourism, Crutz Tourism and Patriotic Tourism from the Statue of Unity. He added that Gujarat has now developed new dimensions in tourism sanctuaries with the help of environment conservation, use of e-vehicles and expansion of solar energy. With these new dimensions, he wanted to make Gujarat an all-round tourism hub. The Chief Minister also added that Gujarat’s first ever Heritage Tourism Policy has promoted ancient heritage, historic heritage-buildings as a Heritage Tourism Destination. The Chief Minister also presented Hall of Fame Awards for outstanding performance in the field of tourism. The President of the Association Rajiv Mehra, office bearers as well as Tourism Secretary Harit Shukla and members of the Association were also present on the occasion.
