Rajkot : In order to maintain law and order in Gujarat, the police have been given free hand. The work done by the Gujarat Police at the risk of life in order to prevent the spread of Corona infection among the people during the lockdown is commendable. For the last seven months, the people and the administration have united and made significant efforts to stop the transition of Corona in Gujarat, said Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. This was stated at Gandhinagar on the occasion of e-launch of infrastructural facilities of Group-13. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated the basic services at SRPF at Ghanteshwar-Rajkot today.

The e-launching includes the newly constructed Arms and Ammunition Building, newly constructed company, store room and kitchen block at State Reserve Police Force Group 13 by Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation. The Chief Minister said that law and order is essential for the overall development of the state. Strict enforcement of new laws like Alcohol Prohibition Act, Gauvansh Murder, Chain Snatching Prevention Act as well as the Gunda Act recently passed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and Land Grabbing Act on land will bring more peace, security in Gujarat. Along with Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Living has also made effective to make the cities and villages of Gujarat livable. As a result of security and safety in all fields, the development of Gujarat has flourished. He added that Gujarat Police has a prominent identity in the country in peace and security. In the past, people got fed-up by the state law and order. Gujarat has become riot free since Narendra Modi took over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. In order to provide proper environment and facilities to the Gujarat Police working for 8 hours, modern offices and the one-room, kitchen accommodation which was earlier provided have been improved and now two-room, kitchen accommodation with facilities has been made available.
