Gandhinagar : MOU between state education department and Cambridge Partnership for education. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Education Department of the State Government and the Cambridge Partnership for Education for the purpose of formulating the best curriculum for the Mission School of Excellence at Gandhinagar. Education Minister Jitu Vaghani expressed confidence that the MoU would provide an opportunity to the students of the state to get education at international level. Giving more details, Education Minister Vaghani said that this is the first MoU in the field of international education in the entire country. The purpose of this MoU is to prepare the best curriculum for the students of Std-9 to 12 keeping in view the international educational standards of 21st century. This partnership with Cambridge will be instrumental in raising the standard of education of Gujarat students in the years to come.
This MoU will be very useful for covering curriculum development, evaluation, maximum utilization of educational and material resources, training of teachers etc. In order to make the students more proficient, English will be taught as well as through bilingual medium and students will be assessed according to international standards.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Education Kirtisinh Vaghela, Education Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao and Gujarat Board of Secondary Education Chairman A.J. Shah and Cambridge South Asia Managing Director Arun Rajamani were present.
