Gandhinagar : MoU for Establishment of World Class Education Special Region in Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), an important flagship project of Gujarat Government. Were signed in Gandhinagar today. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is being constructed as part of the ‘Greenfield Industrial City’. DSIR is currently equipped with various services and also has strategically useful connectivity options through Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, Dholera International Airport and Bhimnath-Dholera Rail Line. The construction of the city requires not only buildings but also the strengthening of the social structure in a timely manner. With this important objective in mind, the Government of Gujarat has entered into this MoU with Cerestra Managers Pvt. Ltd. for the establishment of a world class Gujarat Special Education Region in Dholera-Special Investment Region. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. On behalf of the Government of Gujarat, it was signed by the Chairman of Dholera Industrial City Development Limited and Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry Department and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister MK Das and the Managing Partner of Cerestra Jasmeet Chhabra. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on the occasion said that Dholera is the first greenfield industrial city to be built to support Industrial 4.0 production.

He said that this special education region would give impetus to the overall development of the region and play an important role in fulfilling the objective of establishing Gujarat as a knowledge driven economy. Cerestra Ventures is India’s largest educational infrastructure fund that will partner with the Gujarat government to establish a special education region in Dholera. The company is based in Hyderabad and is involved in the business of investment, construction and management related to education and life sciences. The company is involved in building a quality education hub that is essential for the world of education, including schools. Dholera Industrial City 920 Sq. Is spread over km in which the necessary infrastructure and eco-system for industries have been developed. Arrangements for education, health and other essential services are also being developed as part of the social infrastructure.

The Gujarat Special Education Region (G-SER) will be developed as an education hub in 1000 acres. It also has the potential to be developed as a University District, School District and Innovation District in the future up to 5000 acres. It will develop residential, sports complexes, etc. facilities for students. G-SER will be able to compete with any educational unit in the world. Investment in the G-SER project will accelerate the economic growth of the state and create many employment opportunities. M.
