Gandhinagar : Offline classes in schools stopped from 19th March. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken some important decisions touching the world of education at a high-level meeting with concerns over the health and future of students in the state in the context of the growing Corona cases. The decisions were taken in an urgent meeting of Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Minister of State Vibhavari dave, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim as well as Education Secretary Anju Sharma, Secretary Vinod Rao and senior officials chaired by the Chief Minister. Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama gave detailed information about these decisions. Regarding these decisions, the Education Minister said that keeping in view the situation of Corona in the state, as a precautionary measure, all the eight Municipal Corporations i.e. Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Gandhinagar in all primary (Std-1 to 8), Secondary (Std-9 and 10) And in higher secondary (Std. 11 and 12) schools offline classes will be stopped from 19th March-2021. Not offline classes but Online education-home learning will be given in the schools of this municipal area as well as the examination will be taken online in the secondary and higher secondary schools. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama also said that it has been decided to stop offline education in these eight muni. corporation cities till April 10, 2021. Online examinations will be conducted in primary schools as per the existing schedule.

The Education Minister made it clear that the direct education work would continue for the students who would volunteer in the secondary and higher secondary schools in all the other areas except these eight Municipal Corporations. The first examination will be conducted offline from March 19 to March 27 as per its schedule. The current online home-learning education will continue. Chudasama said that the meeting also decided that online / offline examinations would be conducted in primary schools in areas other than eight municipal areas as per the existing system and schedule as well as the existing system of direct education for voluntary students would remain the same.
