The Pharmatech and Lab-tech expo organized at Gandhinagar will provide more opportunities for innovation and investment in the pharma sector in Gujarat, known as the pharma hub across the country, Health Minister Rishikesh Patel said at Gandhinagar today. Health Minister Rishikesh Patel inaugurated Western India’s largest Pharmatech and Lab-tech Expo-2022 at Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar today. Health Minister Patel said on this occasion that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become a self-sufficient as well as exporting country in the field of pharma. During the covid-19 pandemic, India has protected the citizens of India by developing an indigenous vaccine of Corona, and by exporting it to the countries of the world, it has embodied the spirit of welfare of all. He added that all the Chief Ministers in Gujarat till the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi and the present Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel have played a very important role in bringing Gujarat to new heights in many fields including pharma.

Minister Patel said that a huge park is going to be established in the pharma sector at Bharuch. As a result of this park, innovation in the pharma sector will be accelerated. Now is the time not to copy but to innovate through best research, this park will provide innovative opportunities to the youth of the state to develop themselves and the state. The Minister also requested the youth of the state to contribute their best in the development of the state and the country by doing maximum research in the field of pharma. Giving the details of the exhibition, the Health Minister said that the exhibition has been organized in an area of ​​15,000 square meters, in which more than 300 exhibitors from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and Rajasthan are exhibiting pharma machinery, lab and analytical equipment, packaging equipment, clean room, formulation, nutraceutical, Products including Cosmetics, API, Chemicals, Ayurvedic, Antioxidants and Fragrances will be showcased. More than 10,000 visitors are expected to visit the expos. The Health Minister visited various stalls in the exhibition hall and got the information. The three-day expo will feature one-to-one meetings with entrepreneurs-businessmen from various African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Mozambique, Senegal and Namibia, as well as seminars on various global topics. Food and Drug Control Administration, various associations including dignitaries from the pharma sector, students-researchers were present on this inaugural occasion.
