Gandhinagar : Sensor based sticks distributed to 1100 divyang people in the presence of Chief minister Bhupendra Patel. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the 71st birthday of the Prime Minister shall be considered as a golden day in the lives of the ‘Pragna-chakshu’ people as today on the birthday of the Prime Minister, with the inspiration of Shri Vrajrajkumarji Maharaj, Vallabh Youth Organization will distribute Sensor based sticks to 1100 ‘Pragna-chakshu’ people. CM further added that this organization has become a contributor in nation building by undertaking social works for human service, social service, nation service, youth-awareness campaigns. It is highly commendable that Vallabh Youth Organization constructed oxygen plant during the difficult times of Coronavirus. CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a respectable name of ‘Divyang’ to physically challenged people. The Central and State Governments have prepared a number of welfare schemes for the ‘Divyangs’, empowering them through the benefits of welfare schemes. The government’s approach is to empower ‘Divyang’ people to live with self-respect. In 2016, the central government under the leadership of the Prime Minister also passed the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 for the rights of ‘Divyangs’, which has provided protection to them, CM added.

CM said that contribution from all classes of the society is essential in a developed society, including ‘Divyangs’. For building a powerful nation, ‘Divyangs’ too have to be included in the process. Patel said that universal ID for ‘Divyangs’ has been launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Similarly, Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) has made arrangements for easy access to public places and government offices for ‘Divyangs’. CM said that Gujarat government has also started the Gujarat State Divyang Finance and Development Corporation from 2019. Double benefit is provided in ‘DivyangSadhan Sahay Yojana’. This corporation has also made a provision of Rs. 7 crores in 2020-21 to empower ‘Divyangs’ financially, socially and educationally through schemes like term loans, loans for educational purposes and micro finance. Under Sant Surdas Yojana, financial assistance is being provided to persons with acute disabilities. Free bus travel is also provided to ‘Divyangs’, added CM. Shri Vaishnavacharya Pujya Vrajrajkumarji  Maharaj said that today is the best day for ‘Pragna-chakshu’ people. Sensor based sticks have been distributed to 1100 of them which will be very useful in their daily lives. He further said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is continuously taking India’s development journey forward and the efforts being made for this are highly commendable. On this occasion, Shri Vaishnavacharya Pujya Vrajrajkumarji Maharaj – Vallabh Youth Organization has donated Rs. 5 lakh to Chief Minister Relief funds for assistance-reformation of flood affected areas.
