Gandhinagar : State-wide Krishi Mahaotsav 2019 which is going to be held on 16th and 17th June 2019. For that a meeting was organized today in the presence of chief minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. In such meeting, Rupani gave information about comprehensive planning of this 15th edition of Krishi Mahotsav, an initiative taken by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi in 2004, to inspire youth towards modern agriculture.
These year under Krishi Mahotsav-2019, modern agricultural technologies, water accumulation and efficient use of water through water irrigation, timely agricultural practices at low cost through agricultural mechanization, maintenance of soil health through integrated nutrition arrangements, increasing the productivity of agricultural and horticultural crops, pest control, guidance on government’s various subsidies, reduction in farming costs along with increase in production, Pradhan Mantri krishi sinchayee yojana and Pradhan Mantri kisan samman yojana will be focused and also have been covered.
Along with Krishi Mahotsav animal welfare schemes and animal health mela will also be held. Not only that, animal husbandry related information and guidance will be provided by the experts.
Agriculture Minister R. C. Faldu, Ministers Saurabh Patel, Jayesh Radadiya, Kuverji Bavalia, Javahar Chavda, Minister of State Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture Sanjay Prasad and senior officials of Agriculture were present in the meeting.
