Gandhinagar : The Department of Education, Government of Gujarat, in collaboration with 22 Universities and 4 colleges from the state initiated the Study in Gujarat campaign with the objective of popularising Gujarat as a preferable destination for higher education among students from outside Gujarat and India. 8 roadshows were organised in various cities of India with the objective of providing a glimpse of the thriving education sector in Gujarat and enabling candidates interested in pursuing higher education in Gujarat to get a first-hand understanding of the rich resources in the state. Representatives from highly ranked NBA and NAAC accredited institutes from the state were part of the delegations that visited each city with the aim of providing details to interested candidates regarding the different institutes under the programme, the different courses offered, admission procedure etc. The campaign was run across eight cities in the country. A government delegation from Gujarat visited Nashik, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Raipur, Patna and Lucknow and Guwahati, to interact with students, academicians, University heads and the Gujarati diaspora. 22 partner universities participated in the program which included the likes of Ahmedabad University, R.K University, Gujarat Forensic Science University, Charusat University, Parul University, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Marwadi University, Ganpat University,
Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, IIT-RAM, Gujarat University, MSU, Swarnim Startup and Innovation University, Nirma University and Sankalchand Patel University GTU etc. Besides meeting school students, the Government of Gujarat delegation metthe education ministers of concerned states, members of Gujarati Samaj and interacted with leading academicians and partners to appraise them about the education sector in Gujarat and pave way for successful partnerships and collaborations. In the last decade and a half, Gujarat has been successful in establishing its identity as the leading education hub of India. State-of-the-art infrastructure, safe environment, curriculum at par with international standards and industry exposure, backed by various favourable government initiatives rolled out for the education sector, gives students an edge during the course of their study.
