Gandhinagar : VGGS – 2022 roadshow in the Netherlands is a grand success. Envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summits have, over the years, set several benchmarks across the world, which has led to Gujarat becoming a global business hub. His visionary initiatives made Gujarat India’s most business-friendly state resulting in a growth that has encompassed all sections of society. As the state gears up to host the much acclaimed and most awaited 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022 in Gandhinagar from January 10 to 12, a high-powered delegation led by Sonal Mishra, IAS, Commissioner of Rural Development & Secretary to Government (Rural Development) held a virtual roadshow for the Netherlands. Mishra described the road-show as a great success and said, “We received tremendous response from the Netherlands delegates, and the country has agreed to be a partner country for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022,” said Mishra. Thanking the Netherlands Government for their tremendous support, she said Gujarat was ready to welcome businesses, investors, and other stakeholders to collaborate and nurture the next phase of growth in the state. The delegation interacted with investors and entrepreneurs from the country with a focus on sectors such as Green Mobility, Clean Energy, Sustainable Agriculture and Smart Infrastructure among clothes. Edith Nordman, Chairperson of Netherlands India Chambers of Commerce & Trade, Amsterdam, who participated in the virtual roadshow said in the Netherlands, the SMEs and MSMEs account for 99% of the businesses. “SMEs and MSMEs from the Netherlands have a good opportunity to invest in Gujarat, which too has a good MSME base and provides ample scope for business.” Nordmann said.

The delegation also included officials of GIFT City and Dholera SIR, who made a pitch for investment in these mega projects. Gujarat Maritime Board also presented various opportunities for investment in the port sector of Gujarat. Meenesh Shah, Chairman of, National Dairy Development Board, spoke about the dairy industry and highlighted the success story of Amul. He asserted that Netherlands, the world’s major dairy producer, could collaborate for research and look forward to investing in the dairy industry in the state. Since its inception in 2003 as a biennial event, the VGGS has witnessed extensive interest and participation, firmly putting Gujarat and India on the global map for investments and trade. In its 10th edition, ‘From Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ is the theme for VGGS 2022. Over the years, the Summit has enhanced the reputation of Gujarat as the most business-friendly state in India. Conceptualized under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi (the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat), the summit has evolved as the quintessential platform for business networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships. The pre-summit events to be held from December 1, 2021, to January 9, 2022, will showcase sector-specific business opportunities available in Gujarat.
