The Chief Minister said that in eight Muni. corporations of the state, more than 60 per cent cases of corona are reported. If the officials of the corporation play an important role in the control of corona, then corona will come under the control in Gujarat. Considering the situation of Corona in Gujarat, the state government is constantly taking various steps in the interest of the people. The Chief Minister had today requested the elected officials of the corporation from Gandhinagar through video conferencing to further strengthen the arrangements from testing to treatment of corona. A video conference was held from Gandhinagar with office bearers and officials to review the performance of Corona in eight Municipal Corporations of the state under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The Chief Minister said that the Corona Pandemic was spreading all over the world including Gujarat and India. In India, 160,000 new cases were reported in a single day yesterday. In Gujarat, more than 6,000 cases of corona are being registered instead of the previous 300 cases daily. Which means it’s about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well. During the first wave of corona lockdown, we had many questions from hospitals, treatment system, medicines, doctors and medical staff as well as workers. Now, the second wave of corona does not have lockdown but increase medical infrastructure, testing and tracing to control it as the number of cases is increasing. “Hospitals have all the facilities available, including new beds, oxygen and ventilator systems, remedial injections, and we have to work together to prevent the transition,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that the newly elected office bearers-representatives have an excellent opportunity to serve in the Corona period and we have to fulfill this responsibility. In the last 15 days, the government in Gujarat has set up 15,000 new corona beds. The Gujarat government has made adequate arrangements for the treatment of corona, including approval of various hospitals, remedial injections, vaccinations as well as medical staff. He said that to fight the war against Corona, various organizations, society, saints and service-minded people will have to work hard. We are elected representatives so let’s be responsible, not plaintiffs. There is no need to be alarmed by the questions that will come, but together we have to find a positive solution. He instructed the commissioners of the corporations to review the situation by holding periodic meetings with the office bearers. The problem can only be solved through public participation and mutual cooperation. In a city where cases of corona are on the rise, all the necessary facilities like bed facility, oxygen, ventilator and remedial injection are being enhanced, he added. In addition, maximum number of people over the age of 45 should be vaccinated in metros. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that if we wear masks without fear of Corona, keep social distance and proceed with caution, we will definitely defeat Corona from Gujarat.
