Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Vijay Rupani dedicated Advanced fire fighter equipments worth Rs.15 Cr. to 38 Municipalities of the state here in Gandhinagar. State’s urban development department purchased 45 advanced fire fighter vehicles worth Rs.15.42 Crore which includes 16 Ultra High Pressure Mini Fire Tender, 22 Pickup with foam trolley and 7 Rapid Response Vehicle. The Chief Minister flagged of these vehicles and sent respective Municipalities. On this occasion Chief Minister said that, the state-of-the-art equipment including firefighters has been provided to the Municipalities for safety of citizens and also to minimize damage to property and reduce casualties in cases of fire. The Chief Minister added that this year, State government has allocated Rs. 106 crore in budget to purchase modern equipment for fire stations in the towns and metro cities of the state. Vijay Rupani said that for the first time, the state government has opened five regional fire offices and Regional Fire officers’ posts sanctioned in the state. As a result, the expertise of Regional Fire Officers can be leveraged to begin rescue-relief operations immediately in the event of a fire in Towns and metro cities. CM also flagged of 7 Rapid Response Vehicles worth Rs.1.25 crore purchased for the fire safety training centers of Regional offices in Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Gandhidham. On this occasion, Mukesh Puri, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister M.K. Das, Commissioner of Municipalities Mahendrabhai Patel, Secretary Lochan Shahera and GMFB CEO Patni and Municipal Corporation representatives were remained present.
