Junagadh : Chief Minister of the state Vijay Rupani dedicated developmental works worth Rs.170 crores in Junagadh. He performed the ground breaking ceremony for a new building of Kavi Narsinh Mehta University and a few other departmental buildings. The cost for the same is estimated to be Rs.98 crores. During his address, the CM firmly expressed, “ The state government is on a mission to highlight Junagadh on the Global Tourism Map. In addition to that, the administration is on its toes to develop Junagadh as a Heritage City and a Smart City.” The CM also threw a light on the developmental works in Uparkot, Girnar, Makbara, Sasan and Indreshwar. He strongly expressed that the government is ready to provide necessary funds for the development of Junagadh. The administration will provide a sum of Rs.25 crores for Uparkot and Rs.5 crores each for both the Makbara in addition to completing the work for ropeway. The city will reach new heights of development in the days to come as the state government has approved land for the construction of Junagadh Court in an area of 38 thousand meters. In addition to that, the administration will ensure that the residents are able to get sufficient potable water, better roads, and clean surroundings.

Talking about education in Gujarat, Rupani expressed with pride that there was a time when there were 7 universities in the state. With more than 70 universities today, the students of Gujarat are able to acquire quality education. The government provides 3 lakh tablets every year to the youth. He urged the students to make optimum utilisation of the available technology and resources in order to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi realise the mission of a New India. Talking about the sensitive approach towards farmers, he said, “The state government provided the necessary assistance to farmers during unexpected rains. Till date, the state government has provided a total assistance of Rs.3795 crores for the farmers.” The CM performed ground breaking ceremony for various developmental works worth Rs.65 crores under the Amrut Scheme of Junagadh Municipal Corporation. The university started 28 new skill based courses in the presence of the CM in addition to the signing of MOUs between the university and Junagadh Municipal Corporation. The CM also distributed Appointment Letters to the youth under Mukhyamantri Apprenticeship Yojana and tablets to college students. The event witnessed 16792 registrations for tablets.
