The speaker said that Rajmata Meenal Devi ruled over Gujarat, centuries ago. While our Chief Minister was a woman, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajanji was also running Parliament as a woman. At a time when our President Pratibha Patil was also running the administration of the entire country as a woman, we also need to come forward organized and strong. The Gujarat Government has taken several steps towards women empowerment. I am successfully fulfilling the responsibility entrusted to me as the first woman Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. Woman is a social force. Today, as we strive for women’s empowerment and social equality and empowerment, it is imperative that women remain integral with men in the mainstream of society. NFSU honors senior forensic women scientists and strengthens the Prime Minister’s advocacy for women’s empowerment. The country has improved a lot in the direction of women empowerment. Yet much remains to be done. The aim is to create an environment in which women at the end of the country can be brought to a respectable position economically, socially and politically by providing awareness by educating them. Women need to be empowered by creating opportunities for them to reach space from the threshold of the home and for that women also need to be aware and work hard to empower themselves.
