Modasa : This is time to generate income from electricity, said Pm Narendra Modi in his address at Modasa. Only one week is left for the Gujarat Assembly elections. In such a situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also put full force in campaigning for the candidates of his party. On Thursday, he addressed an election rally in Modasa town of Aravalli district. During this, he said that instead of getting free electricity, it is time to generate income from it. This is an apparent move to counter his promise of giving free power to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress in the elections. He further said that only he knows this art through which people will earn money from electricity. Targeting the Congress, the PM said that it believes in the formula of ‘divide and rule’ and only focuses on how to stay in power. AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trying to woo voters with the promise that his party’s government in Gujarat will provide free electricity up to 300 units. Kejriwal has claimed on several occasions that he is the only politician in the country who has mastered the game of giving away free electricity. The opposition Congress has also joined it and has mentioned in its manifesto that the party will provide free electricity up to 300 units if it comes to power in the state. Assembly elections are to be held in Gujarat on 1 and 5 December. The counting of votes will take place on November 8.
