Special Correspondent, Mumbai : Gujarat stepped up its global investment outreach with the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 roadshow in Mumbai. The Gujarat government held the roadshow on September 3 in Mumbai. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led the investor outreach with senior government officials. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi also joined the program. The event brought together industry leaders, Consuls General and representatives from foreign missions.

Gujarat Highlights New Investment Opportunities

Patel invited investors to “Come to Gujarat – Grow in Gujarat – Grow with Gujarat.” He positioned Gujarat as a trusted partner for future investments. The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s industrial ecosystem and investor-friendly policies. He also pointed to Gujarat’s infrastructure and skilled workforce. Key infrastructure assets include major ports, the Dedicated Freight Corridor and GIFT City. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor also strengthens Gujarat’s connectivity.

Focus on Emerging Industries

Gujarat is targeting investments across several high-growth sectors. These include renewable energy, green hydrogen and semiconductors. Green manufacturing also forms part of the state’s future growth strategy. Advanced manufacturing remains another major investment opportunity. The state also aims to expand its presence in technology-driven industries.

Mumbai-Gujarat Economic Corridor Gains Focus

Patel highlighted the growing economic links between Mumbai and Gujarat. He said both regions can build a powerful economic corridor. The roadshow also focused on stronger industry partnerships. The state government held one-on-one meetings with leading corporate groups. Discussions covered investment, expansion plans and strategic partnerships.

Major Companies Join Investor Outreach

The meetings included leaders from several major business groups. Participants included Mahindra Group, Reliance Industries, Tata Trusts, Aditya Birla Group and Larsen & Toubro. Representatives from pharmaceuticals, energy, technology and manufacturing companies also joined. The discussions covered advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Green energy, biotechnology and industrial automation also featured. Other areas included real estate, heavy engineering and petroleum.

Mahindra Explores Gujarat Expansion

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, met Patel during the Mumbai roadshow. The discussions covered potential expansion and new opportunities in Gujarat. Mahindra Group already has operations across several sectors in the state. These include tractors, renewable energy and hospitality. The group is also exploring opportunities involving industrial parks and GIFT City.

Gujarat Targets USD 3.5 Trillion Economy

Patel said Gujarat aims to become a USD 3.5 trillion economy under its Viksit Gujarat 2047 vision. The state contributes significantly to India’s GDP, manufacturing and merchandise exports. Gujarat is also preparing six Economic Regional Master Plans. The plans aim to support balanced regional development. Four Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences have already supported the state’s investment outreach.

Road to Vibrant Gujarat 2027

The Mumbai roadshow forms part of Gujarat’s wider global outreach for the upcoming summit. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will take place in January 2027. Gujarat is using the outreach program to connect with investors and global business leaders. The state is presenting itself as a platform for sustainable and technology-driven growth. The Mumbai engagement adds momentum to Gujarat’s investment campaign ahead of the summit.
