Gandhinagar : Additional restrictions imposed in 29 cities of Gujarat due to rise in the cases if coronavirus in the state. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken important decisions regarding the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on April 26, 2021. Earlier, night curfew was imposed in 20 cities including 8 metros from 8 pm to 6 am besides this night curfew will now be imposed in Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, Botad, Viramgam, Chhotaudepur and Veraval-Somnath from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. The state government has decided to put additional restrictions in these 29 cities from Wednesday 28th April-2021 to Wednesday 05th May-2021. The State Government has issued orders to continue only the essential services / activities during this period. The service directly associated with the operation of COVID-19 as well as the services associated with the essential / emergency service will continue. Medical, paramedical and allied health services, oxygen production and distribution system will continue. The state government has ordered the continuation of dairy, milk-vegetable, fruit-fruit production, distribution and sale and its home delivery services so that normal life is not disrupted. vegetable market and fruit market will continue. Services for grocery, bakery, sale and distribution of all types of food items, grain and spice, household tiffin services as well take away facility in hotel / restaurant will continue.
Internet / Telephone / Mobile Service Provider / IT and IT Related Services, Print and Electronic Media, Newspaper Distribution, Petrol, Diesel, LPG / CNG / PNG Related Pumps and other services relating to transportation, post, courier and private security service will continue. In these 29 cities with additional restrictions, services related to fodder and animal medicine and treatment related services, agricultural operations, production and transportation of pest control and other essential services, transportation, storage and distribution of essential commodities will remain as it is. Interstate, inter-district and inter-city transport services as well related e-commerce services will also continue. It has been decided to continue all types of manufacturing / industrial units and raw material supplying units for the purpose of continuing manufacturing activities and industries in the state. In the meantime, COVID-19 guidelines shall be strictly followed. Construction related activities will continue during which COVID-19 related guidelines will have to be strictly followed. The state government has also instructed the bank management to ensure that the supply of money in ATMs is maintained during this period. During this period all economic / commercial activities such as shops, commercial establishments, restaurants (except Take Away Service), all lorries, shopping complexes, educational institutes and coaching centers (except online education), cinema, theatres, auditoriums, assembly halls, water parks, public gardens, recreational areas, salons, spas, beauty parlours, gyms, swimming pools, all types of malls and commercial complexes will be closed. All marketing yards and all markets will be closed. Only sale of vegetables and fruits will continue at APMC following COVID-19 guidelines. A maximum of 50 (fifty) persons will be allowed in open or closed places for marriage during this period for which registration for marriage on DIGITAL GUJARAT PORTAL will be compulsory. A maximum of 20 (twenty) persons will be allowed for funeral. All kinds of political, social, religious, cultural, educational, programs / gatherings will be completely closed. Sports can be continued without audiences in the sports complex / sports stadium / complex without the presence of audiences. Public bus transport will continue with a maximum of 50% passenger capacity. A special request has been made to all citizens in Gujarat to strictly adhere to face cover, mask and social distance.
