Gandhinagar : Addl. restrictions imposed in 8 cities of Gujarat. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani took some decisions as per the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Has made important decisions regarding to impose additional restrictions. The curfew will be in 29 cities including 8 metros in the state from 8 pm to 6 am, in addition to that addl. restrictions imposed in other 7 cities, like Deesa, Ankleshwar, Vapi, Modasa, Radhanpur, Kadi and Visnagar, a total of 36 cities will have curfew from 8 pm to 6 am. A decision has been taken in the core committee meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to impose additional restrictions, including the implementation of the night curfew till May 15, 2021. The core committee, chaired by Vijay Rupani, including Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Saurabh Patel, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Pankaj Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Manoj Kumar Das, Director General of Police Ashish Bhatia and senior secretaries were present. As per the other decisions taken in this meeting of the Core Committee regarding the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India, in these 36 cities from 8th May to 15th May. The State Government has issued orders to continue only the essential services / activities during the period from 12th May to 2021. The service directly associated with the operation of COVID-19 as well as the services associated with the essential / immediate service will continue. Medical, paramedical and allied health services, oxygen production and distribution system will continue.

The state government has issued orders to continue production, distribution and sale of dairy, milk-vegetables, fruits and vegetables and its home delivery services so that normal life in these cities is not disrupted and normal life is maintained. The vegetable market and fruit market will continue. Services for grocery, bakery, sale and distribution of all types of food items, grain and household tiffin services and hotel / restaurant take away facility will continue.
The Chief Minister has also decided to curb the growing prevalence of corona in the state by providing government, semi-government, board, corporation, bank, finance tech related services, cash transaction services, banks’ clearing houses, ATMs / CDMs. The presence of employees in repairers, stock exchanges, stock brokers, insurance companies and all types of private offices should be ensured up to 50%. The Chief Minister also directed the state GST to ensure that no more than 50 per cent employees are present in the private offices as well as to ensure compliance of mandatory masks and social distance in such offices. The Chief Minister has given clear instructions to take strict legal action against private entities violating or not abiding by these rules. Internet / Telephone / Mobile Service Provider / IT And IT. Related Services, Print and Electronic Media, Newspaper Distribution, Petrol, Diesel, LPG / CNG / PNG related pumps, operation of production unit, port of loading, terminal depots, plants and related transportation, distribution and repairing services, post and courier services, private security services will remain open.
