Gandhinagar : American Gujaratis will help Gujarat Government to fight with corona. In the virtual presence of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, an e-meeting and dialogue was held today from Gandhinagar regarding Covid in Gujarat with the leaders of Gujarati community like specialist doctors, members of senior association in North America. Chief Minister Rupani welcome the initiative of American Gujaratis to provide all necessary resources and financial assistance to CM Relief Fund to save their native Gujarat-Gujaratis from the corona pandemic and also thanked all American Gujaratis for their willingness for their help. To properly coordinate the suggestions made by American Gujaratis for various assistance to Gujarat, Chief Minister Rupani also immediately appointed two senior officials as Nodal Officers for financial assistance to CM Relief Fund from abroad as well as expeditious customs clearance of all essentials from US to Gujarat including vaccine and oxygen. Regarding the Corona situation in Gujarat, Chief Minister Rupani said that the culmination of hard work to fight the Corona epidemic in Gujarat has created maximum arrangements in a short time. In Gujarat, the government is making continuous efforts to get the required oxygen in Gujarat in the next one week by using all possible sources. He added that new oxygen plants are being set up in Gujarat by the Center and the state government.
He said that in order to prevent the transition in Gujarat, corona curfew, strict adherence to SMS, special campaign for maximum vaccination in the state as well as testing, tracing and treatment of corona is being given maximum emphasis in major cities as well. He added that two lakh tests are being done daily in Gujarat at present. The Chief Minister said that as of today, thousands of people in Gujarat are undergoing treatment for corona in government hospitals. A serious person infected with corona has now been admitted to hospital in any vehicle for treatment. Together we are able to reduce coronary infections and mortality. Millions of doctors, medical staff and government employees in Gujarat are fighting against Corona day and night. With the help and guidance of the central government and medical experts, the Gujarat government is moving in the right direction to defeat Corona, he said. The Chief Minister urged Gujaratis in North America to move towards making Corona vaccine directly available in Gujarat from the US. The Chief Minister said that in Gujarat, through thousands of Sanjeevani Rath and Dhanvantari Rath, people are being given first aid for corona at home, which is reducing the burden on the hospital. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that we will come out of this crisis soon as we will move forward in collaboration with each other to defeat the corona pandemic with such various resolutions. At this e-meeting organized by GONA, California, all American Gujaratis helped Gujarat in alleviating oxygen shortage, providing oxygen concentrator, necessary resources, remedicivir injection, Pfizer vaccine directly to Gujarat as well as financial assistance to CM Relief Fund. The e-meeting was attended by Chief Minister Rupani via video conference with GONA President Pramod Mistry, TV Asia Chairman-CEO Padma Shri Dr. H. R. Shah, the vice president of India Association of Los Angeles Kanaksinh Zala, Mr. Amit Pathak, Vice President, GONA, Mr. Chintu Patel, CEO, New York-based Amanil Pharmaceuticals, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavana USA Dr. Naveen Mehta, a neurologist from Pennsylvania Dr. Vitthal Dhaduk, Manubhai Shah of Los Angeles based Sarvamangal Family Trust, Mr. Rajendra Vora, Honorary Correspondent of Janmabhoomi Group, made necessary suggestions through dialogues.
