Ahmedabad : Australia beat India in the Cricket World Cup Final Match. Australia beat India by six wickets and won its 6th ICC ODI World Cup title at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera in Ahmedabad. This is the second time Australia thrashes India in the Final match of the world cup. This was the first time India hosted the tournament entirely by itself. The First match of the World Cup was at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and the Final match of the world cup was also at the same venue. At the time of Toss, Australia won the toss and had elected to bowl first. As the pitch of the Ahmedabad stadium is little bit supporter of batsmen but the Australian Captain Pat Cummins took vise decision and opted to field first. The stadium was totally occupied with almost 1 lacs 30 thousand spectators. The enthusiasm among the people were at peak and people from around the India and also some of them had come from out of India also to watch the historic match between India and Australia. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the World cup to the captain of Australia Pat Cummins.

India on its first batting, made 240 runs with the loss of 10 wickets. India lost its last wicket on a very last ball of the first inning. For India, Virat Kohli made half centaury and Lokesh Rahul made 66 runs. All other players of Indian team couldn’t show good performance in their inning. On the other side, Australia didn’t get a good start and lost first 3 wickets in just 43 runs. The opener Travis Head made a strong position and thrashes the bowlers of India. Travis Head made magnificent centaury and sustain the overall game. With Head, Marnus Labuschagne also did nice job and made 58 runs. Australia finished game in just 43 overs. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Australian team for massive victory at Ahmedabad. It was a sad day for all cricket lovers in India, as consistent team like India couldn’t perform better in final match of the world cup.

India was total consistent during the world cup matches as it was undefeated and on the other side Australia had lost 2 matches in the world cup but in the final match, as if it was a day of Australia, it won very easily without much efforts.
