Bengaluru : The Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) is back with its annual showcase of global cinema, streaming a powerful line-up of short films across genres and formats. This year, the festival has partnered with Curiouscity Discovery Centre to host a special weekend segment on August 16 and 17, 2025, at its Bengaluru auditorium.

Audiences can expect a rich mix of thought-provoking documentaries, animations, internationally acclaimed films, and works by emerging filmmakers. Beyond screenings, the two-day segment will feature interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, giving viewers a deeper understanding of storytelling, filmmaking, and the creative inspiration behind the screen.

Among the highlights are films by renowned international directors and artists whose works reflect contemporary issues, exploring themes of human connections, cultural identity, and pressing social concerns.

Speaking about the collaboration, Shonali C. Chinniah, Director and Founder of Curiouscity Discovery Centre, said:
“Curiouscity is a space that thrives on curiosity, dialogue, and discovery. Hosting BISFF aligns perfectly with our vision to spark imagination, encourage critical thinking, and celebrate diverse perspectives. The festival is not just about films, but about stories that challenge norms, inspire change, and connect people across cultures.”

The Oscar Academy-accredited festival runs from August 7 to 17, 2025, across multiple venues in Bengaluru. With Curiouscity joining the line-up this year, film enthusiasts, students, and the local community will have an opportunity to engage with cinema that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
