Gandhinagar : City and Country will prosper through villages, said chief minister in the program held in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Good Governance Day. On the occasion of Good Governance Day, a Kisan Kalyan program was held in the e-presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi as well as under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Along with this, a mass program was also organized in various 248 talukas of Gujarat. At Mehsana, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and Agriculture Minister R. C.Faldu, MLAs, MPs and farmer leaders were present at various places. On this occasion, a total of Rs. 18 crores has been deposited in the accounts of 9 crores farmers under ‘Kisan Sanman Yojana’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a motivational address to the farmers across the country through video conference from New Delhi. Paying tributes on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that Atalji’s birthday is celebrated all over the country as Good Governance Day. The Bharatiya Janata Party clearly believes that only if the farmer is prosperous will his farming be prosperous and the city and the country will be prosperous through the villages. We are working towards making the world richer, doubling farmers’ income and truly making the world a better place. Ever since Narendra Bhai Modi became the Prime Minister, the Central Government has become a government of farmers, a government of the poor, a government of the needy. In Gujarat too, the government has been working towards making farmers and villages more prosperous by formulating agriculture based policies for the last two decades. Our government has provided quality seeds, fertilizer, water and electricity to the farmers. The Gujarat government has strengthened the system from sowing to sale for the farmer.

Our government has seen dreams, which have come true. Our government has also worked to desalinate seawater. The Gujarat government has started the implementation of ‘Kisan Suryodaya Yojana’ to provide electricity to the farmers during the day. So far 1055 villages have been getting electricity for farming during the day. It has procured thousands of tonnes of crops at a support price of Rs 15,000 crore. Our government is working with the mantra of “Har Haath Ko Kaam, Har Khet Ko Pani”. A large number of Chief Ministers, Agriculture Ministers, farmers from various states joined in the celebration of Governance Day. Gandhinagar Mayor Ritaben Patel, Agriculture Department Secretary Manish Bhardwaj, Gandhinagar District Collector Kuldeep Arya, District Development Officer Shalini Duhan and other agricultural leaders, farmes and beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
