Ahmedabad : Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has shared wishes to all Gujaratis living in the country and world and to the citizens of the state on the occasion of Navratri starting from Saturday 17th October. Sending greetings to all on the eve of Navratri festival through social media platform Facebook, the Chief Minister said that Navratri is a festival of special significance and celebration especially in Gujarat. Along with religious significance, cultural significance is also included in this festival. Navratri is a festival of music, dance and celebration. Everyone is looking forward to this festival all the year round. Vijay Rupani made it clear in this regard that the situation this time is a bit different. The whole world is fighting against Corona. We are fighting the same battle. Therefore, considering the seriousness of the situation, this time the government did not allow the planning of Navratri as well as Garba with a sad heart.
The Chief Minister further said that festivals are very important in our lives but it is not wise decision to celebrate festivals at the risk of life. And I know that you will all agree with me and understand the seriousness of the situation. That is why the government has to take this difficult decision in the interest of all of us. He appealed to be vigilant in this period of corona, saying that until the vaccine arrives, wear a mask, wipe hands frequently with soap, sanitizer and maintain social distance, and be a little extra careful during festivals. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, while calling for launching a Shakti vandana campaign on the occasion of Navaratri, said that Indian culture believes in ‘Nari Tu Narayani’. The woman is also a form and symbol of power. The Chief Minister said that under this Shakti vandana campaign, On 19th, 21st and 23th October, He will interact with 9 women connected with different fields, and will try to know about their life journey. He also appealed to all to share and thank the mother, sister, daughter or wife’s contribution to the ups and downs of every person’s life on social media with the hashtag #ShaktiVandana. The Chief Minister heartily appealed to all to cultivate habits like wearing masks, social distance and frequent hand washing and sanitizing during festivals.
