Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while launching e-Sanjeevani OPD in the state expressed the clear view that this e-Sanjeevani OPD would be the most beneficial for home treatment by reducing the burden of OPD of patients in hospitals. The Chief Minister inaugurated the e-Sanjeevani OPD by video conference from Gandhinagar in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. The Government of India has launched this e-Sanjeevani OPD in the states of the country and it has been launched in Gujarat from today.
The Chief Minister termed today’s e-Sanjeevani OPD patient as a viable means of providing free treatment at a government hospital-health center along with giving home-prescription medicine for a common ailment in the transition period of Corona. He said that this innovative method of getting home-based drug treatment is a right job at the right time during the transition period. Praising the state health workers, the administration has been working tirelessly against corona since the beginning of the year, Vijay Rupani said that now with this e-Sanjeevani OPD, our culture of turning disaster into opportunity has become more evident. The Chief Minister said that the feature of two-way video calling in this mobile app will result in more interaction between the patient and the doctor. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that in the e-age, just like financial transactions, services including city-metropolitan tax are available online, now this service of public health and well-being will also be available at one click.
