Kevadia : Ekta Divas will be celebrated in the vicinity of the Statue of Unity at Kevadia on 31st October, 2021. On the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a grand celebration of National Unity Day (Ekta Divas) will be held tomorrow (October 31) in Kevadia in the vicinity of the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity. To further strengthen national unity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the celebration of National Unity Day on the birth anniversary of the sculptor of a united India. Union Minister for Home Amit Shah will pay homage to Sardar Saheb by participating in the Ekta Parade. This year, Kevadia will witness a grand parade, Band Platoon Performance, Central Armed Forces Cycle Rally, Police Motorcycle Rally of four states, Martial Arts Demonstration, School Band Performance and cultural programs. Four platoon will join the Ekta Parade at Kevadia in celebration of National Unity Day. In which flag bearer BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF and Gujarat Police platoon will participate as a symbol of all the state and central police forces of the country. Four police officers and employees who have won medals in various international sports after the year 2014 will also take part in the parade. A joint band platoon of BSF, CRPF and Gujarat Police will have 4 members. Central police forces from different states of the country in the form of a bicycle rally on the occasion of the nectar of independence and motorcycle rallies of the police from all over India have also reached the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will also participate in this unity parade.
The National Unity Parade will be followed by a demonstration of Wushu Martial Arts and a demonstration of the opening and joining of ITBP’s Combat Vehicle. An inter-school competition was held between 8 teams of the band working in the schools of the state to participate in the celebration of National Unity Day. The winning school band will also take part in the Ekta Parade in Kevadia. Artists from Ganjam district of Odisha will present a cultural program on the theme of national unity. A cultural program based on the journey from independence to now will also be presented.
