Gandhinagar : The farmer-oriented Gujarat government led by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has recently announced Rs. 3700 crore package for farmers. Farmers of Gujarat welcomed the decision of Gujarat government. As a part of which, farmers of North Gujarat and Saurashtra thanked and honored Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in person at Swarnim Sankul, Gandhinagar today. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that in Gujarat, from October 21, purchase of groundnut at the price of 1055/- will be started. Congress should stop misleading farmers about the agriculture bill, he said.
Stating that the Gujarat government is working for the welfare of all with the motto of “Har Haath Ko Kam Har Khet Ko Pani”, the Chief Minister said that money will come to the city only if the village is happy. The situation has changed a lot from 20 years ago. Chief Minister said that if the farmers are given quality seeds, fertilizer, electricity and water in time, farmers will get the power to cope up with the demand of the state. The Congress governments at the Center did not allow the closure of Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat for seven years, so the farmers of North Gujarat and Saurashtra remained without irrigation. He said that during the time of Congress, lame electricity was available while our government has provided 3 hours electricity through Jyotigram. Not only that, the farmers have to go to irrigate their crops at night and get eight hours of electricity during the day. Farmers and leaders of various talukas of Mehsana district as well as Lodhika, Kotda Sangani, Gondal and Kuvavada of Rajkot were present in the occasion.
