Ahmedabad : Final preparation has been done for 3rd phase of voting. The third phase of voting will be held on 7th May, 2024 where as 25 seats in Gujarat will have voting day on 07th May. Surat seat has already been won by BJP, now only 25 seats will have voting in third phase. The election commission is eyeing over various facilities for polling day. As this time Gujarat will be witnessing voting day in the month of May and on the other side there is a forecast of extreme hot weather in parts of Gujarat on the same day. The election commission has special action plan to diminish the effect of hot weather and to increase voting in the state. As per the chief election commissioner, all the technical work of VVPAT and EVM at all polling booths are over. Voting on 7th May will be held at 50,787 polling station. more than 13 thousand polling booths are vulnerable and because of that those polling booths have been provided more security. Critical polling booths will have 10 SRP companies with that 1.20 lacs police personnel will serve their duties at all polling stations in Gujarat. As heatwave is expected in Gujarat during election, the election commission has formulated an action plan. After almost 28 years, Gujarat will have voting in the month of May. Campaign for the third phase of voting was concluded on 5th May in the evening. Polling for more than half of the total number of constituencies will be completed by the end of this third phase on 7th May, 2024.

- Supriya Sule (NCP) – Baramati, MAdhya Pradesh
As per the rule the silence period of 48 hours has been implemented in the constituencies where the voting will be held. For other phase of voting, the campaigns are going in full swing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat to cast his vote. He will visit the Ranip area of Ahmedabad city to cast his vote. Home Minister Amit Shah will also cast his vote in Ahmedabad. All the preparations are over and now the final countdown has been started for the 3rd phase of voting.
