Gandhinagar : Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that the country’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has reduced the petrol and diesel prices by Rs 2.50 to give relief to millions of citizens, transporters and farmers, which is welcome by the Government of Gujarat. Petrol price cut by Rs 2.50 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.50 per liter to give relief to the state’s citizens.
Thus, with the relief of both the Government of India and the state government, the petrol in Gujarat will cost Rs.5 and diesel of Rs.5. This will be implemented from tonight.
Deputy Chief Minister Patel gave more details on this, saying that for the last several years, crude prices have been growing internationally and as a result, prices of petrol and diesel have increased, and the government has thanked the state government for the decision. He said, the Central government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2.50 and diesel by Rs 2.50. And states have been asked to implement it. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has also asked the government to implement this decision for relief of more than six crore citizens, transporters and farmers. As a result, 20% VAT is being levied on petrol and diesel today. VAT will be charged as per reduction of Rs. 2.50. Due to this reduction, the revenue of the state government will be reduced from around 1800 to 2000 crores.
