New Delhi : GST rates revised for medical equipments and Drugs, used to treat corona patients. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said a group of ministers of finance ministers from various states was constituted by the GST Council to provide relief on equipment and medicines used to treat Corona patients across the country and which was a step by prime minister Narendra Modi to provide help to the people of the country. The meeting of this committee was held today and these recommendations were submitted to the council. The report prepared by the committee after deliberations was handed over to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today. Accepting the recommendations made by the committee, the Union Minister has taken an important decision in the interest of the patients to reduce the rates of GST on equipments and medicines related to the treatment of covid. The Deputy Chief Minister added that these decisions were taken by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union State Finance Minister Anurag Thakur in a meeting of the GST Council held through video conferencing in consultation with Finance Ministers of various states and members of the Group of Ministers. Briefing the media after the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Patel said that the details of the decisions taken by the GST Council to provide relief in the treatment of Corona patients are as follows.
