Gandhinagar : Gujarat is now in competition with the world said, CM Vijay Rupani. On the occasion of the successful completion of five years of good governance of the state government under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani & Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, the Seventh day of celebration of “Panch Varsh Apni Sarkarna- Sauna Sath Sauna Vikasna”, Union Home and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurates and lays foundation stone of various developmental projects in Gujarat. The team led by CM Rupani and Patel has provided security, safety and best facilities to the people of Gujarat following the footsteps of the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi. Bringing in foreign investment for the inclusive development of the state and for job creation has provided impetus to Gujarat and has made all-round progress and all-round development of the state. Joining virtually in the celebration of “Vikas Divas” organised at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar Shah said congratulated Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani & Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel for carrying forward the tradition of development and public welfare works initiated by Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.Gujarat is leading in every sector – field today due to efforts made by Narendra Modi, Anandiben Patel and the team led by Vijay Rupani and Nitin Patel. Shah said that out of the total development works of Rs. 5300 crores, works of Rs. 3322 crores are being dedicated today. Which include works of several bridges, roads, housing, electricity and water schemes. Which clearly states that this works have been completed even during the times of COVID-19 pandemic.
Referring to the inauguration of two overbridges connecting Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad and a water pipeline, Mr. Shah expressed his gratefulness over the fact that works of more than Rs. 900 crore works belong to his Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency which includes dedication of developmental works of Rs. 630 crores and ground breaking of developmental works of Rs. 241 crores.Along with this, the work of five new overbridges connecting Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar road has been completed. On this occasion Mr. Shah virtually launched the “Vatan Prem Yojana”- A unique public-private participation scheme that provides expatriate patriots an opportunity to contribute to the development of their motherland.Gujarat government has given a wonderful opportunity to Gujarati’s living all over the world to join the development of Gujarat.
PM Modi has created a work culture of public participation in Gujarat, which CM Rupani and Dy.CM Patel promote through this scheme.This scheme will give every Gujarati living abroad a best opportunity to lend-contribute for their village. Mr. shah also appealed all Gujarati’s living in the country and abroad to join in “Vatan Prem Yojana”. Shah said that Under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana,the dream of 25 thousand families has come true today,while the foundation stone of 45 thousand houses have been laid today. Ground breaking ceremony has been performed today to provide four thousand houses in urban areas of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Keshod, Wankaner. On this occasion, he thanked Union Minister for Roads and Transport Mr. Nitin Gadkari for building a strong road network in the state including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Surat, Bhavnagar, Bhuj and for work on overbridges and underpasses.He expressed satisfaction that works of 114 roads and over-bridges are being constructed at a cost of R.s 690 crore.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani clearly stated that the competition of Gujarat, which has become a role model of development, is now with the world. CM also added that by following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding development, the works of public interest have been accelerated in all directions during five years with the mantra of “Sauna Sath, Sauna Vikas”. This is not a celebration of the completion of five years of government responsibilities but it is our duty to bring these works of public service to the masses. Rupani expressed his view that this gift of the state-wide developmental works Rs. 5300 crores in a single day from a single stage from the union minister reflects the ideology of doing what is said. In this regard, CM said that our government has developed a procedural mechanism for budget provision for any work, publicizing tenders, fixing agencies and completing the work in a timely manner. That is why we are able to dedicate those works whose foundation stones we laid. CM added that it is our commitment to public service that even though when everything came to a halt during the coronavirus period, we have continued the pace of development works in Gujarat and completed the works of Rs. 5300 crores including many other developmental works. He said that Gujarat is now going beyond infrastructural facilities such as electricity, water, sewerage, roads and other infrastructure works, and directing towards Smart Cities, Sustainable Development and Ease of Living – Happiness Index. On this occasion, MP C. R. Patil, Chief Secretary of the State Anil Mukim, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan, Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister M. K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue – Home Department Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayat Department Vipul Mitra, Secretary of Rural Development Department Sonal Mishra, and high officials of various departments as well as beneficiaries of various schemes were present.
