Gandhinagar : State Energy Minister Saurabh Patel said that by providing the highest power supply in agriculture, Gujarat has been the front runner in the country, and Gujarat has achieved another achievement as an agriculture-friendly government by supplying more than 10-million units of record electricity in a single day in agriculture. Saurabh Patel said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, the State Government has taken a number of steps for the upliftment of farmers, due to which power has been given due to power management and planning, providing enough electricity to the farmers. In this regard, Minister of State for Energy, Pradip Singh Jadeja said that in the past, when the state’s farmers have found the need, the government has given power to the state’s farmers by taking decision in accordance with the requirement of this area and crop.
Energy Minister Saurabh Patel also said that in the month of September-October, agriculture is consuming 6 to 7 crores of electricity per day in agriculture. But this year the government has crossed the 10 million units with a decree of a government decision to give 10 hours of power supply to farmers, which is a record historical achievement. Though Gujarat is a small state compared to other states geographically, Gujarat has provided the highest number of units in agriculture.
This year, due to inadequate rains in the state, the state government has taken an immediate decision considering the proposals to give farmers two hours to two hours instead of eight hours instead of eight hours, farmers ‘representatives, and farmers’ federations, prompting the farmers to take three phases ten hours continuously in agriculture from 8-8-2018 Electricity supply has started. Due to this decision of the state government, farmers of the state can give enough water to their crops.
