Ahmedabad : Union Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today announced the 5th NIRF ranking where IIT Bombay is at first number, IISC Bangalore at second and IIT Delhi at third rank. The main thing for Gujarat is, Gujarat University is not at all even in first 30 in the ranking group. One of the biggest universities of Gujarat, Gujarat University got no any rank from first to even 50 and which is very disappointing news. Gujarat University’s overall ranking is 60th and Universities ranking is 47th, which shows the level of education. The level of education is constantly declining in Gujarat at university level as well as at schools level also. Compared to last year, the number of registered Indian institutes for NIRF ranking has increased by more than 20 per cent this year. For the first time this year, dental institutes have also been in the ranking list. Ranked 60th in the ranking of the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the country’s top 100 educational institutions.
For the first time any university from Gujarat got a place in this list. PD Patel Institute of Applied Sciences (PDPIAS) at the world renowned Charusat University has ranked Gujarat 24th in the country in the National Ranking NIRF-2020 with a score of 61.01. Gujarat University’s name is not at any place shows the deteriorating standards of education in Gujarat where many renowned colleges fall under it. Each and every time Gujarat University shines on the pages of newspapers in a negative way and it has become a routine for university but still there is no any kind of attention given by university officials and it seems that they are not interested to take any steps towards making their academic standard better.
