Ahmedabad : Hindi Diwas celebrated at Sabarmati University today as 14th September is celebrated as the Hindi Diwas. On September 14, Hindi Day is celebrated across the country, likewise ‘Hindi Diwas’ was also celebrated in Ahmedabad-based Sabarmati University. The main purpose of this celebration was to highlight the importance of Hindi language and how Hindi can be easily presented in colloquial language. Faculty members as well as students from various departments of Sabarmati University participated enthusiastically on this occasion.
At the beginning of the program, University Registrar Dr. Jyoti Srivastava had an in-depth discussion about the prevalence of Hindi language as well as various writers of Hindi language and various literature of Hindi language. Along with the Dean-Academics Dr. Parshuram Dhakad gave a special talk about the history of Hindi Day. Head of the Department – Education Dr. Rachna Mishra spoke on the poetry of renowned Hindi poet Harivansh rai Bachchan and recited his poetry. Director of Humanities and Social Sciences Dr. Vishal Gupta spoke interestingly about the history of Indian cinema and how Hindi has grown in and its importance since then. Along with another faculty members, Dr. Sahil Srivastava, Dr. Krushna Chetty, Dr. Anshul Rajawat, Dr. Mukta Agrawal, Dr. Bharti Tiwari, Dr. Suman Mishra and Dr. Reena Vihol discussed in depth about Hindi and its importance as well as the growing prevalence of Hindi in various fields. Also various Hindi poems were performed by the students of the university. The entire program was organized by Dr. Priyanka Bhatt.
