Gandhinagar : Israel’s Ambassador to India Naor Gilon paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel here in Gandhinagar today. Gilon had an extensive discussion with the Chief Minister, particularly on the cooperation of Israel in Gujarat and the impetus for youth innovation and innovative research through i-Create, initiated by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Patel also briefed Gilon about his recent visit to i-Create and the activities undertaken there. Gilon also expressed readiness to further expand the Israeli partnership with Gujarat, including the centre of Excellence in Agriculture. The Israeli Ambassador also discussed with CM about the success in making the salty water of sea drinkable in Gujarat using Israeli desalination plant technology. CM also invited Gilon to visit the world’s tallest statue, Statue of Unity, being shaped under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additional Chief Secretary to CM Pankaj Joshi and Industries Commissioner Rahul Gupta remained present.
