Gnadhinagar : ITI online admission system portal launched by labor and employment minister Brijesh Merja. With the online admission system in the state’s ITIs, transparency, speed, time and money savings in admission, more students will be able to get admission in the process of choice in the selected ITIs, said Labor, Skills Development and Employment Minister Brijesh Merja. The ITI Online Admission System ITIOAS https://www.itiadmission.gujarat.gov.in portal for admission in ITI in Gujarat in the year 2022-23 was launched by the Minister of Labor, Skill Development and Employment Brijesh Merja from Gandhinagar today. Minister Merja said that the Gujarat government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched an online admission system portal at ITI to further strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of Digital India and Skill India. With this innovative initiative of online admission, approximately 3 lakh students eligible for admission in ITI will be able to choose their favorite trade and ITI option sitting at home. As a part of which online admission process has been started in Gujarat for the semester starting from August 2022, so that maximum number of students can get admission in various courses.
Our Government is committed to make Gujarat’s ITI the equivalent of IIT and provide employment to the youth by imparting maximum skill oriented training. In the name of providing the best infrastructure-trained instructors in Gujarat, a new ITI building constructed at a cost of Rs. 7 crore at Dessar has also been inaugurated today, added Minister Merja. Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Labor, Skill Development and Employment, said that this state-of-the-art portal was launched in the year 2022 for admission in a total of 595 industrial training institutes in the state – 288 government, 115 – grant-in-aid and 192 self-reliant. Using this innovative portal for online admission, students will have to fill a single form in which they will be given admission in trades and institutions according to their merit. In the current year 2022 in Gujarat, 1,28,284 seats in government ITI, 11,112 seats in grant-in-aid, 17,472 seats in self-finance are eligible to be filled. Through this online portal, students will also be able to secure their admission by filling up the form for admission in ITI sitting at home. He added that the first two rounds for admission in ITI in the year 2022 will be held online while the third round will be held offline. On the occasion of the launch of the portal, the Director of Employment and Training, senior officials of the Department of Labor Skills Development and Employment as well as instructors of ITI from various districts joined online.
