Chikhli : Kisan Sammelan was held at Surkhai village in Chikhli Taluka. Farmers’ agitation is a result of political frustration of opposition, said chief minister Vijay Rupani. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the people are well aware of the elements baking their political bread in the name of farmers, he said at the “Kisan Sammelan” held at Surkhai in Chikhali taluka. Criticizing the Congress for shedding crocodile tears in the name of farmers, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that APMC is for the welfare of farmers. He emphasized that while the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking various steps for the welfare of the farmers, those who had taken the country hostage for political gain alone had no right to speak for the farmers. He said that anti-Modi forces were fighting for their existence in the name of farmers, realizing the misleading propaganda against the Agriculture Reforms Bill-2020, while the people were also ridiculed by the Congressmen and anti-India elements for “Bharat Bandh”. Referring to the Narmada project, the Chief Minister said that there was no shortage of such elements in the roadblocks against the project.
He said that the Congress government had been obstructing the development of farmers by blocking the permission to close the gates of the dam for seven years, adding that the Modi government had removed these obstacles and extended the Narmada water to the farmers’ farms. Stating that there was no electricity and water supply during the Congress rule, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also gave an idea of various schemes implemented by the previous governments for the farmers and the people.
Referring to the public welfare works of the state and central government which have taken various new dimensions to make the villages like Gokul, the Chief Minister also informed about the works like Atmanirbhar Bharat. Stating that the Congress is only misleading the people by protesting, CM Rupani said that while the farmers have been openly invited to amend the Agricultural Reforms Bill-2020, it is time to recognize the elements who are baking their political bread only in the name of the farmers. He congratulated everyone for organizing the program as per the guidelines of the government regarding “Corona” and expressed optimism about the upcoming vaccine of “Corona”. “As a result of the joint efforts of the people, the administration and all those who have been facing” Corona “for the last six months, we have been largely successful against” Corona “,” he said at a farmers’ convention in Surkhai.
