Gandhinagar : Maximum productivity can be achieved through proper use of Artificial Intelligence said, Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat. Inaugurating the laser 3D metal printer at Pandit Deendayal Energy University – PDEU in Gandhinagar, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvart said that “Advanced Technology” and “Skill Based Learning” would make Aatmanirbhar Bharat stronger. Inaugurating the three-day International Conference on “Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials-2021” held at PDEU, Gandhinagar, the Governor said that all concerned should work together to address the challenges we are facing in the field of technology and environment. He also said that while new inventions in the field of technology are proving to be important factors for economic transformation, the maximum productivity can be achieved by limiting the use of manpower due to various latest technologies such as artificial intelligence. The Governor said that “additive manufacturing or 3D printing is key for small, medium and large scale industries in the country. He also informed about the establishment of three-dimensional printing centers of excellence in seven engineering colleges and technical institutes in the state of Gujarat.
State Education Minister Jitu Waghani, who was present on the occasion, termed 3D printing as the need of the hour and said that by being “technologically advanced”, the youth would give a new direction to the building of a self-reliant India. He described the innovation in the industrial sector as a blessing. At the beginning of the program, the Director General of PDEU, Dr. Sundar Manohar said that teachers can make developmental changes through advanced technology. He also emphasized skill-based learning along with classroom learning by advocating “industry ready technology”. He stressed the importance of the International Conference on Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials. On the occasion, Minister of State for Education Kuber Dindor, Chairman and Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Dr. S.K.Jha, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nuclear Fuel Complex Dr. Srivastava and subject matter experts and delegates were present.
