Gandhinagar : Mock drill was held on the preparedness for the system to deal with covid. Health Minister Rushikesh Patel participated in the mock drill held today at Gandhinagar District Civil Hospital regarding the preparedness of the administration to deal with the corona pandemic. Under which he carefully inspected the entire infrastructure available at the Civil Hospital and gave necessary guidance and instructions to the officials. After the mock drill, the minister gave details to the media and said that the entire health system of the state including manpower and machinery is ready to face the possible corona wave in the state. All facilities including more than one lakh beds and 15 to 16 thousand ventilators and medicines are available in the state. So citizens do not need to panic at all. The minister said that the central government has instructed all the states to be on alert as part of a precautionary measure as the cases of corona are emerging globally. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister of the state, Bhupendra Patel, as part of vigilance, continuous monitoring is being done to deal with the possible situation of Corona. As a part of which, a mock drill has been organized today in all the government hospitals of the state to check the facilities available for the treatment of corona in the state.
He added that sufficient quantity of vaccine is available with the state government to protect the citizens from corona vaccine, while more than 12 lakh doses have been requested from the central government. This quantity will be available soon. While a special drive will be organized across the state to give precautionary doses, the citizens who are yet to take precautionary doses have been requested to take these doses as soon as possible. Minister Patel said that the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has protected the countrymen with intensive vaccination, so citizens do not need to panic, but it is imperative to be alert and vigilant. It is very important for all citizens to strictly follow the guidelines regarding Covid. The minister further said that nursing and paramedical health workers have been trained so that trained manpower is available to deal with the possible situation of Corona. On this occasion, Gandhinagar mayor, deputy mayor and other high officials of health department were present. During the mock drill, the doctors of Civil Hospital, Gandhinagar, high officials of the district administration were present and gave necessary details to the minister.
