Ahmedabad : O2 generation plants installed by AMC dedicated by chief minister Bhupendra Patel. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today virtually dedicated 19 PSA O2 generation plants with different capacity of 2000,1000,500 LPM constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 crore installed by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation planned to set up PSA Oxygen Generation Plants at 3 major General Hospitals, 9 Community Health Centers and one Covid Care Center. Each state were instructed by the Government of India to set up o2 plants as part of preparations to combat the third wave of Corona. Patel said that, at time when the whole world is fighting against Corona, India under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have launched the world’s largest vaccination campaign. So far 9 crore, 76 lakh, 86 thousand, 539 vaccine doses have been given to citizens in Gujarat. Due to which significant reduction in the covid-19 transition could be seen during the third wave.However, the state government has expanded the facility of PSA plant as part of pre-planning.To enhance the people of Ahmedabad with better health facilities and well-being total 19 PSA plants have been dedicated today in Ahmedabad. This plants with capacity of 5000 to 2000 litres, will meet the oxygen demand of patients in times of need. Highlighting on the demand of oxygen arose during 2nd wave of Covid-19, luckily no such situation hasaroused during the third wave, the main reason behind this is the ongoing comprehensive vaccination campaign in Gujarat.as a result, the hospitalization of patients in the state today is less and the need for oxygen is less. Citizens who have not been vaccinated chances more to get affected with third wave.It is natural that the body’s immune system will not develop against corona if not vaccinated.Today there are very few cases where patients need to be kept on ventilator or on oxygen.
Under leadership of Prime Minister all the State Governments have accepted the challenge to meet the need for oxygen during both the waves of corona. Air Force planes and naval help were also sought.The central government, in collaboration with the railways, ran more than 424 Oxygen Expresses and provided about 30,455 metric tonnes of medical oxygen to more than 1748 tanks in various states across the country.From the experience of the first two waves of Corona, we planned to make Gujarat’s hospitals self-sufficient in terms of medical oxygen system.As part of its preparations, 445 psa plants are currently in operation in state health institutions.And 59 plants with a capacity of 89.91 MT have been commissioned for Gujarat under PMCARS Fund.In which 55 PSA plants have been received by the health institutions of the states from the funds of all the MPs and MLAs. CM Patel said that PM has resolved to make India self-reliant as a part of celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, we have to build a self-reliant India through self-reliant Gujarat.Gujarat has become self-sufficient in terms of generation, storage and supply of medical oxygen.Prime Minister has taken several steps to modernize the country’s health infrastructure. Mayor of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Kirit Parmar briefed about 19 PSA Oxygen Generation Plant. The commissioning of the oxygen plant will provide oxygen to the 1393 beds of the hospital and will reduce the load on the liquid oxygen supply.6 plants in SVP, 1 in LG Hospital, 1 in Shardaben Hospital, 2 in Samaras Hospital, 9 PSA Oxygen Generation Plants at 9 Community Health Center.
