Ahmedabad : One Earth, One Health will make world prosper said, prime minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi the visionary of various world-class state-of-the-art health facilities in Gujarat dedicated and laid foundation stone of various healthcare facilities worth Rs. 1275 crore from Civil Medicity in Ahmedabad. He said that when senses are attached with resources, resources become excellent means of service. Which benefits the poor, middle class, women and children. Education and health are two sectors that have the potential to secure not only the present but also the future. Ahmedabad has become a hub for medical tourism, with Medicity functioning as the world’s most advanced medical facility. Medicity is not only a healthcare organization but also a symbol of Gujarat’s strength. Prime Minister dedicated Nation’s largest kidney hospital with 850 beds equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, 1-C Block of Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute in Civil Medicity, newly constructed building of UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre and laid foundation stone of New Super Specialty Hospital at Sola Civil Hospital Campus, Sub District Hospital at Bhiloda and Anjar and Medical Girls Hostel and Rainbsera at Asarwa Civil Campus.Prime Minister inaugurated a total of 188 dialysis centers and 22 (twenty-two) day care chemotherapy centers at district headquarters in the state under the “One Gujarat-One Dialysis” program of the state government and a total of 270 free dialysis centers in the state under the Gujarat Dialysis Program (GDP) along with the new 188 dialysis centers.
The Prime Minister further said that 20 years ago, the state systems were gripped by many diseases. Inadequate facilities in the health sector, lack of education systems, power constraints, water scarcity, deteriorating law and order situation and most notably vote bank politics have hampered Gujarat’s development. But along with health facilities, we have worked to take Gujarat on the path of development by reforming the social system and adopting a caring approach similar to that of doctors. Referring to the One Earth, One Health Mission, the Prime Minister said that, if we work with this approach only then there will be prosperity in the world. During the time of Corona, when a single dose of vaccine was not available in many countries, it was with this approach that we delivered the vaccine to many countries in the world where it was needed. India has undertaken multifaceted efforts with a holistic approach in the fight against Corona. Prime Minister along with Chief Minister and other dignitaries observed the model of Civil Medicity. The Prime Minister had an emotional interaction with the dialysis and day-care chemotherapy patients. He had interaction with patient farmer Bhimsingh Baria of Morwa Hadaf, Mukesh Kumar Sandhvi of Junagadh and Manoj Bhai Chaudhary of Vaghai and wished them a healthy life. On the occasion Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment Pradip Parmar, Minister of State for Road and building and Cottage Industries Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister of State for Health Nimishaben Suthar, MP of Navsari and State Party President C.R. Patil, MLAs, Mayor of Ahmedabad Kirit Parmar, Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Manoj Aggarwal, Directors of Civil Medicine, Deans, Superintendents, Heads of Medical Departments, expert doctors from across the state and healthcare workers of Civil Medicine and citizens at large were present.
