Ahmedabad : Rainfall of one to eight inches in 200 talukas of Gujarat. In the last 24 hours in the state, 240 talukas have received rainfall in which 200 talukas have received rainfall of one to eight inches. The highest rainfall of 8 inches was recorded in Lodhika of Rajkot while talukas including Chhotaudepur, Kwant, Becharaji, Kalawad and Tilakwada received more than 6 inches of rain. 25 talukas of the state have received 4 to 6 inches of rain, 60 talukas have received 2 to 3 inches of rain, 75 talukas have received 1 to 3 inches of rain. According to reports from the State Emergency Operations Center today. During the last 24 hours ending at 9.00 am on 26/07/2021, 198 mm in Lodhika taluka of Rajkot, 190 mm in Chhota Udepur taluka, 182 mm in Kwant taluka, 160 mm in Becharajitaluka, Kalawad and 147 mm in Tilakwada taluka. Botad, Kaprada, Manavadar. Kutiana, Shankheshwar, Gadha, Jotana, Vijapur, Vanthali, Junagadh, Junagadh city, Bodeli, Karjan, Mehsana, Pratij, Rajkot, Sutrapada, Dabhoi and Fatehpura along with 60 talukas received 2 to 4 inches of rain. While there are 75 talukas where 1 to 2 inches of rain has been registered and 80 taluka has received 1 to 2 inches of rain.
The average rainfall in the state for the current season is 32.58 per cent i.e. 273.65 mm. The highest average rainfall was recorded in South Gujarat zone at 35.19 per cent, Kutch zone at 30.25 per cent, Saurashtra zone at 31.89 per cent, East Central zone at 20.04 per cent and North Gujarat zone at 28.16 per cent. In which the highest rainfall of 78 mm is in Dolwan taluka of Tapi. That is more than 3 inches of rain is recorded while Khergam, Dharampur, Vansad, Vapi, Waghai, Dang-Ahwa, Malia, Pardi, Chikhli, Visavadar, Morbi, Valsad, Kodinar, Dhanpur, Subir, Una, Garbada, Kaprada, Malpur, Gandevi And Jafrabad has received 1 to 2 inches of rain. While in 130 talukas less than 1 inch i.e. 24 mm, to 1 inch. rainfall is reported.
