Gandhinagar : RangDheera, a cultural and sports fest organized by the students of Sabarmati University. A two-day cultural and sports event was specially organized by Sabarmati University on January 6 and 7. About 500 to 600 students from Sabarmati University and other universities and colleges enthusiastically participated in this program organized under the name of ‘RangDheera’. The two-day program started with a special bike rally in which a bike rally with a torch was held from Sardardham to Sabarmati University, which was later inaugurated in the presence of invited guests. Rannkumbha, Hunar Haat, Natyrang, Jalwa and DJ Night were also organized on the first day of the program. Special competitions like kabaddi, weight lifting, spot photography, rangoli competition, face painting, mobile film making were held. A fashion show was organized for the students in the ‘Jalwa’ event. While on the second day of the program, games like volleyball, chess were held and singing competition were also specially organized under the Sur-Sangam competition. While in the Boogie-Wwoogie, solo as well as group dance competition was organized. Joint Commissioner of Police Ajay Chaudhary was specially present on this occasion. Along with this, famous singer Rajal Barot mesmerized the audience with her voice.
In this two-day ‘RangDheera’ program, University President Sunny Patel, Pro-Vost Prof. Dr. Kirit Vyas, Registrar Dr. Jyoti Srivastava, Dean-Academics Dr. Parashuram Dhaked, Event and Marketing Head Pankaj Aggarwal, Assistant Registrar Kunal Patwari were specially present. The entire program was organized by the faculties of university, Dr. Tirtha Karmakar, Dr. Dilip Chaudhary, Lakshmi Tiwari, Dr. Meghna Dey, Urvi Raipura, Dr. Mikita Shah, Ekta Raval, Aniket Parmar and other team members.
