Ahmedabad : Second spell of rain in Gujarat. 45.84% average rainfall recorded in the state. The second spell of rains has started in the monsoon season in the state. During last 24 hours in Umargam taluka of Valsad district 399 mm. That is 16 inches, 200 mm in Vapi. That is eight inches, 129 mm in Mangrol. That means five inches of rain is reported. According to the reports received by the State Emergency Operations Center, today at 6:00 am on September 1, 2021, 96 mm in Visavadar taluka, 96 mm in Waghai, 90 mm in Dadiapada, 88 mm in Dhrol, 86 mm in Kathlal, 81 mm in Mendrada, 79 mm in Kaprada, 76 mm in Vadgam, Nadiad and 75 mm in Bagasara. More than three inches of rain has recorded in 10 talukas.
Apart from this, Nandod Choryasi, Mansa, Matar, Pardi, Ghogha, Keshod, Umreth, Vansada, Vanthali, Garudeshwar, Mangrol, Khergam, Botad, Junagadh city, Savarkundla, Kheda received more than two inches of rain in 17 talukas while more than one inch of rainfall recorded in other 39 talukas.

Today on 1st September 2021 from 6.00 am to 10.00 am in Talala taluka of Gir Somnath district 145 mm, that is about six inches, 132 mm in Maliya taluka of Junagadh district, that is more than five inches while in Mangrol taluka 100 mm., that’s about four inches of rain. It may be mentioned here that the total average rainfall of the current season has been recorded as 45.85 percent. The Kutch region has received an average rainfall of 32.96 per cent, North Gujarat 36.15 per cent, East-Central Gujarat 42.48 per cent, Saurashtra 40.67 per cent and South Gujarat 55.47 per cent.
